Hello, my name is Emre. I am 16 years old and come from Turkey. I attend a German grammar school in Istanbul and will complete my A-levels in two years. For quite some time, I have been thinking about what I would like to do after finishing school. I was unsure for a long while which degree course would suit me and what kind of career I might pursue in the future. To find out where my strengths lie, I wanted to do a work placement – ideally in a company that offers insights into different professional fields. That is why I decided to spend my internship at cunova. I came to Germany especially for this purpose, as I wanted not only to gain professional experience, but also to get to know everyday working life in another country and improve my language skills.

My daily work at cunova

Right from my very first day at cunova, I received a warm welcome. Everyone helped me settle in quickly, and I immediately felt comfortable. During my two-week internship, I mainly worked in the sales department for mould tubes and specials (CTt & CTs). A particular highlight was attending a customer acceptance visit for one of our clients from Japan.

I was able to observe the processes in detail and understand how closely technology and sales work hand in hand. In addition to sales, I also gained insights into production, technical customer support, and design. I even took part in a metalworking course at the training centre – a completely new and very exciting experience for me.

During my time at cunova, I gained many new impressions – both professionally and personally. I learnt how varied the tasks in sales are, how important clear processes are, and how closely collaboration with other departments works. At the same time, I also gathered practical experience I had never had before.

Team spirit and collaboration are truly valued within the company. Everyone supports one another, tasks are shared effectively, and there is an open working atmosphere. When everyone pulls together, the best results can be achieved – this left a strong impression on me.
The two weeks at cunova were extremely valuable for me. I gained insights into many different professions and their day-to-day work, which gave me a clearer idea of my future career path. I would definitely recommend a placement at cunova – not only because of the valuable insights, but also because of the welcoming and supportive colleagues who make it really easy to settle in.It was great to have you with us, Emre!
